Faculty Bios
ARIEL GOLDBERGER (Founding director) is a performance artist interested in visual theater, and the interdisciplinary cross-pollination between experimental performance, puppets, and new media. He is the founder and artistic director of NAKeD PUPPeTS, an award winning experimental puppet and object theater company dedicated to the creation of original out-of-the-ordinary performances and hybrid art events, based in Olympia. He teaches experimental puppetry and performance at the Evergreen State College.

DAN LUCE (Co-director) is a puppet builder and performer of all puppetry styles, with a specialty in marionettes. His studies, projects and performances have taken him all over the world throughout the past decade. Dan has studied under marionette masters Albrecht Roser, Phillip Huber, Jim Rose and Fred Thompson. He has performed as a member of Ariel Goldberger's NAKeD PUPPeTS company, as part of The Huber Marionettes and as co-founder of DougLuce Puppet Productions. Dan has worked for years as a puppet builder with world-renowned Michael Curry Design while concurrently producing his own independent puppetry work.
DIANNE FERRER (Instructor) With a rich and varied visual arts and performance background, Dianne is a regular member of the artistic staff of NAKeD PUPPeTS. She has great skills in Toy Theatre, puppet construction, performance, and other aspects of show production. She is a graduate from the Evergreen State College where she studied Puppet Theatre and art. Dianne is known for her evocative and magical performances in which she brings puppets to life with incredible technical dexterity and nuance.
